I'm heading over there this Friday and expecting to hit the beach at about 4:00pm. Any tips, I'm fishing close to the breakwater near 18th street I believe. I was wondering also if crabbing with hoop nets off that miniature breakwater would prove effective. Planning to use bloodworms, motor-oil grubs, Swimbaits, LC's, as well as a fish finder. Also wondering what gear we should use. Last time I was using 4lb. test and it working ok. As an additional I plan on using strips of squid as it proved effective this weekend at catalina I'm hoping that the sand crab (hard shell ones) will work this time as I have read time after time of people catching them on that stuff. (I've seem thousands of these guys while some people are just struggling to get some lol). Them ghosts were biting strips of squid at catalina, never thought I'll see that day!
