Late Report: Okay, so I had big plans to start the week, I thought I was going to be able to fish for a couple of hours before work at 6AM. Last Friday, my boss asks me to come in early for Mon7/2 and Tues 7/3, 5AM. I was like crap to myself, but of course I said I would. I didn't even attempt to make it out on Monday morning, I woke up late any ways and said screw it. I had all day Monday to think about heading out Tuesday morning at 3:45AM and fish for 45 minutes.
Tuesday I did just that. Headed out at 3:45 and arrived after walking to the spot at 3:55AM. Water was warm and I couldn't see a darn thing, Tide was just bottoming out at this time. Stepped on some more sting rays(no sting) and started casting my swimbait. Water was calm and it was overcast skies.

About 10 minutes into casting, I'm reeling it along the bottom and about 10 yards in front of me in about 2 feet of water I feel this huge whamm, I was ready and set the hook. Fish on!! She starting freaking out and the drag was set just right. zzzzzzzzzzzzz, I start walking her in and step on another I don't know what the heck that was, but I kept going and finally after a good 10 minute battle I see my prize sort of. Knew it was my target.

What a great battle and I still had some time to spare before heading back to the car, I didn't want to leave!

Some people must think I'm nuts. I say they maybe right, but I'm on mission, and I won't stop. I'm HOOKED!

These are a lot of fun fighting in the surf!

A "quickie" before work is always a good thang to kick of the day.
