NPH Forgot my attractant! 7/3

I always forget ONE thing. haha maybe I should start preparing the night before I fish, that way I'll stop forgetting crap. :LOL:

Anyways, I got there around 5:30 am. a -1.49 foot low (I think, cant remember) drained everything out, and the heightened boat traffic slowed the fishing dramatically.

I began tossing a watermelonseed 3 inch lunker grub and this fatso slammed me, obliterating my grub:

That's gotta be the fattest 15 inch bass I ever caught.

Switched to dropshot and got slammed by a halibut that shook the hook by my feet! No biggie though, just a pancake.

Immediately after I tossed it to the same spot again and got this dink bass:

It seems only small spotties hit the dropshot, I never get nice ones this way.

The dropshot stopped working so I switched back to the grub and got this hali..

Slow session, but I still managed at least one nice bass and a hali! Next time I'll remember the attractant. =\

Oh nooooo.... That sucks you forgot your smokehound sauce! You probably would have stuck a couple more chunky spots. The yellow trim around that spotty's mouth is cool!!!! They really are a beautiful fish!

I know how you feel about forgetting.........
I forgot my third-grip once.....it holds my pliers and lip-griper.......dang!! I'll never do that again...I hope. :EyePop: ha ha ha!
I got by with out it okay....I beached some nice fish....but I also find that I need to pack all of my gear the night before my session as well.

Nice job!yeah, it really makes it easier, i just had to put a little more effort into it, the way they're biting lately takes a bit of patience.. You're right, spotties are very cool looking, they have attitude! thanks.

But a Green Regular Grub !!!I actually get lots of halis on watermelonseed. They like a bright vivid green, invader is a great hali color! I feel you though, I prefer a white or pearl grub for halis.
