CASTAIC - Authorities today released the name of a 16-year-old boy killed in a boating crash at Pyramid Lake in Castaic while vacationing in the Southland from Russia.
The crash between the 21-foot ski boat and a Wave Runner personal watercraft occurred around 3:45 p.m. Sunday, according to Paul Schrader of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Parks Bureau.

Be careful out there folks, especially with the upcoming holiday. Pyramid Lake, especially, seems to have very lax patrolling by the Sheriff, and I've seen too many close calls out there, and boaters not following safety regulations.
