Thornbacks at santa monica

My dad, brother and i went to santa monica pier friday night to see what we could hook up on. Got there around 5:30 and all we could catch were lizard fish, and sculpin. Finaly at around 7 we began getting hit by the bigger fish. First my dad hooked up and after awhile of fighting the fish it brakes the line, shortly after that i hook up, right away it began taking line and eventually broke off :Evil:
We stuck it out the rest of the night and at 1 am this morning, the thornback ray bite was ON! They put up a great fight, we ended the fishing trip at around 4 a.m.
we caught over 80 lizard fish and sculpin and 36 Thornback rays. :Envious:
