Moonlight kayak fishing Santa fe dam?

Hello fellow FNNers,

I have been looking for a lake I can launch my kayak at. I prefer to fish at night and just saw on the Sfd website they offer moonlight fishing the last Friday of the month.

1. Wanted to know if any of you have gone there for this event?
2. What time the moonlight fishing is from?
3. Can I take my kayak out there?

I think I might have fished Sfd a long time ago, but it has been years. Thanks for checking my post and tight lines...

There's moonlight "tubing" at Castaic Lagoon once each month from 6pm till midnight, next one is July 21st cost $20 bucks make sure tube/Kayak are clean and dry they will inspect before launching.

I have fished SFD a lot from my float tube but not at night. I wish I had a Kayak. I have caught some decent bass from that lake. Good Luck.

all boats must be outta water at last hr before sunset (similar to most lakes). lifeguards do final sweep with their boat to make sure and then lock access launch ramp.
