All my bags are packed, moving back to Hawaii in a few short weeks. So what did we decide is fitting on a broke Friday night? Well a trip to Marina Del Rey we agreed, especially since I wont be able to catch these guys anymore. Looked at the tide and weather, decided it would be a perfect night for MDR. Damm I wish I could call em like this every time, one of our best nights ever in the Harbor. In typical fashion the Mrs. out fished me right off the bat, when we met she had been fishing only a few times. Now she can tie, cast, fight, and release all on her own. I get so stoked on just watching her get excited when she's on a fish sometimes I just chill and watch. Few fish pics, we had a few toads in there...fun fighters. Aloha

On a side note there's another reason to celebrate last night, one of my best friends gave birth to his baby boy! Jamar, Ho'omaika'i 'Ana Ma Ka Hiki 'Ana Mai O Kau Keiki Kane!

PS You look real cute using that towel to lip the fish, if you need lessons call my girl!

Mahalo for the great report...

And you know you can still report in the Out of State Section right. Keep in touch with the FNN family.

Thanks all you'll def see a few out of state reports! Posted that sucker so fast on the way out the door that I didn't really report! !!! We fished at about 1030pm, using super salty flukes rigged weedless, I started using the Unibutter but after the Mrs started the ownage I switched back to the calico cocktail. Light line seems to get the better bite there, we were both using the 8lb flurocarbon. Real slow retrieve, even got bit just sitting on the bottom sometimes. Feeesh hard!

Wow! I am glad you and your girlfriend got to end your stay here with a GREAT night of fishing!
Those are some pretty nice size bass. I've caught a few big ones these past weeks but I don't think any of them were as big as the toads you and your girl caught.

Hopefully you'll be able to catch some great fish in Hawaii. My brother just got his 921 lb blue marlin there.
