Thinking about taking the family to bass lake for a week renting a cabin on the water. Anyone have any info on the lake?? We are in SoCal, want to know if the lake is worth the time and moneywort travel that far. Hoping to do some fishing mostly playing in the water. Any info good or bad is greatly appreciated.

Astrolux, I went to Bass Lake a long time ago, but maybe my info. is better than nothing. I think it was in 1996. I fished around Ducey's mostly from docks, and the fishing was really good. This was in mid April, though. I don't know what type of fishing you like, but mostly I caught Crappies and Bluegills, including two really big Crappies. The biggest one is still my personal best. I caught a lot of fish on artificials. I also caught a good size trout of 14 inches. We went to the main inlet also, which looked really nice, but nothing was biting there. Good luck!
