Browsing FNN with this as your view... can't beat it! Right now I'm living on a small island in Thailand called Koh Mak. Haven't found good fishing yet, but I know it's here. Hopefully in the next couple months I'll have some new reports in the Out of State section.

Yeah the mosquitoes finally got to me. I'll admit it... they won. I'm still renting that place though. It's only about $33 a month, so I figured whenever I get rock fever I can head back to the mainland for a few nights.

I took Max with me. He got his a** kicked yesterday by two dogs who came around here. Max doesn't know how to fight, but Thai dogs are born having to fight, so he didn't stand a chance. He has a bunch of punctures in his back from their teeth, but he's hanging in there. For a stray dog that was found wondering around the California high desert, he's sure unwittingly embarked on quite an adventure. He loves his new home on the island. There are two girl dogs that live here (good thing Max has no balls) and for the most part they get along great. They only kick his a** sometimes.

Thanks for the encouragement. I've been slacking lately on the documentation. I'll start taking more pictures and piece together a nice report. Part of the reason is I had to switch from my iPhone to an Android phone and the camera just plain sucks. It has good resolution, but it's slow so I frequently miss the shot I was aiming for and I can never get a good exposure. Also I'm hesitant because there's a huge lack of fish porn, but if you're interested in the culture I can definitely report on that...

Gavin just keep in touch with us. We always know we will get a first person travel log from a far away exotic place.

Culture, food, fish. Just share, my chances of going there are slim, so its nice to read an interesting story from far away places..
Be safe and you always have FNN to keep in touch with.

Took another photo 2 days ago that I thought I'd share. No color adjusting or anything. Straight from the phone cam. Gotta love the sunsets on islands...
