The Kern river continues to fish great. Stocking every week makes for easy limits. Bait and artificials are working equally well. Low flows allow for easy wading. Flyfishing has been great as well.
Isabella continues to kick out the fish. I have heard of more 8-12lb bass being caught this year than ever. Crappie are on the structure after their spawn. Find the school and it's on. Trollers continue to score on the trout. Bluegill are biting on the structure although not big they are plentiful. catfish are every where and eager. Shad and mackerel are best baits.
