good trip, went with the wife. rented a aluminum boat in the water by 6:15, headed to C point stayed there for a bit on bait also did some lure action,No cigar, then went towards the bouy line, about 300 ft before we hit it decided to anchor. we got one early morning and bit pretty much died after 11, caught 4 stripers by 11am all together. it was 104degrees around noon we had to leave. The aluminum boat was really shaky on the way back. since there were a lot of boaters going SUPER fast (made me look like a turtle lol). they were biting on worms n sardines, 2 on worms and 2 on sardines from the baitshop. One thing i learned, take more than one type of bait with you.
I need to learn trolling, i tried doing that today, i didnt get a bite. I am pretty sure there is a strategy for how far you are from shore.
Anywho-
we were blessed to catch 4 stripers.
