Hey everyone!
It’s been a while since I’ve last posted. I’ve been waiting to land a quality fish before I posted again, but I haven’t been getting any luck lately  So here is my report for the last 9+ times I’ve been out, plus bonus pictures.

Right after school ended I hit up the sand for 5 days straight, hitting over 10 spots from Oxnard down to San Diego. I ended up landing a total of 4 BSP. One of those days I got skunked. These 5 days ended right before Arthur and Jinbow got there WSB hit  I guess I should've went for day 6. No pictures were taken.

I then decided that I would try bass fishing instead to recover from a bad streak in the surf. I went out and bought a bunch of swimbaits and headed out to several jetties around Samo and Long beach. (BTW I’ve never caught any bass in the ocean besides my recent WSB and I’ve only caught one fish on a swimbait in my lifetime – Lizard fish ).

Fish caught after 4 days of bass fishing:
Sand bass – 3
Calico – 3
Halibut (dropshotted) – 1
WSB – 1

Here are some pictures that I was able to snap

Went chartering with Daniel (Dlmoo) on the Marina del Ray and was able to land a few Scuplin and Rock fish (they were all smaller models).

My brother landed a 921lb Blue Marlin in Hawaii. Took him and his friends 3.5 hours. Pretty crazy.

Hi ya Thien!

It was good to read a report from you once again my friend! :Big Grin:
Some times we really don't have a whole lot to report about, but the INTEL may be helpful to our fellow anglers who are planning a session!

I see that you've gotten yourself a real nice variety pack of fish and you mentioned that you were able to hit at least 10 different AO's...WTG!
I know that you had a lot of fun, that you were determined to catch fish and that a lot of good INTEL was gathered from all of those sessions.....right?!? :Big Grin:

At least you are out there doing what relaxes you.......fishing and enjoying the salt with good friends! "Priceless"!

Well......until your next fishing report......thanx for the fun read with pic's Thien!

PS.....the pic's of your Nephew fishing in the pond were fantastic. :Fishing Catch:...I can see a future S.W.A.T. member coming up in the ranks!
PSS...Luv the Marlin :EyePop:

LOL getting Cameron into fishing at an early age I see.

I'll be home most of next week.. I say we hit the surf nonstop and see what we can get. If anything I'm sure it can't get much worse than your 5-days of bsp

Hey Thien,
First off, it was good to meet you and Shallom ( with 2 LL's ) down South here...:Big Grin:
Some times you just gotta put your time in on the sand and hope for the best.
We all know that if you really wanted to, you could tie on some crack and get the perchies...
I like your assortment of soft baits, once in a while i will even toss em when it is slow in the surf...:Embarrassed:
Thanks for the report,
Robert

Hey Thien, I am glad to see you getting into it after a full season of school. Well schools out for now at least and it doesn't sound like its going to pass you guys by.

Keep pounding the surf and be ready for one to school ya like what happen to Arthur. Have a back up plan either with ya or in your car. Some big fish lurking around right now.
Best of luck

Great report, again, Thien.
I used to go to the jetties with my friends a lot last year. But I was never successful using swim bait, so I always ended up using frozen bait when hitting the jetties.
Good work out there!
Hahah..your nephew got his game face on.

Hi Thien

Great report and good assortment of swim baits.
Looks like you put them to good use !

PS ... you may want to lip those Sculpin next time. Those fins leave a sting !!
