Laurel Lakes Trail

Has anyone here done the Laurel Lakes Trail (4s86)? I'd like to check it out when I go up in July. I have a 4wd jeep wrangler, but tires and ground clearance are stock.

I'll have someone that can spot me through any difficult parts, I just want to know what I should expect.

It's pretty rough but doable, certainly in a Jeep. Clearance will likely be an issue in a stock Jeep but if you're careful you're good. There is nothing worse than going up that trail to meet someone coming down on the switchbacks, big time pain in the arse. Fishing is tough and there are special regs. Cool area. Quads or a side-by-side are the way to go but I've done it in a truck a few times. Takes a while.
