With fourth of July holiday fast approaching, Kern County Rangers put on a demonstration this weekend on the art of the 100% dry launch. According to Sgt. Schleprock the key is to have the tow vehicle back down the ramp at a faster rate than normal an apply the emergency brake 20 ft short of the water line at that instant the boat skipper is to engage the outdrive in full reverse at max RPM, resulting in 100% dry launch

I witnessed some Yawhoo's at Castaic do that with their Glasspar...Luckily some people helped lift it back on...minus the prop...ouch
