Afternoon at the goon 5/30

Decided to try the goon today with some friends. I have only fished it maybe twice in my life and been skunked both times...but i just got a new dobyns rod and was feeling lucky today :Envious: Arrived at about 4:30pm, sun was out, wind was slightly blowing but not too bad...fished hard. Not a single fish or nibble. The wind died down around 7:30 and the weather started to cool....and just as i was losing hope a nice lmb enhaled my dropshot :Big Grin: not a very large fish, but a skunk buster nonetheless and my first lagoon fish. I left shortly after....woulda stayed farther into the night, but my friends arent as determined as me lol

So how did you like your new Dobyn's drop shot rod? What model do you have? I've thinking of upgrading to a Dobyn's for my DS set up.

It's a dobyns 682c. Kinda funny how I acquired it...my dad won it in a tournament and said he didn't have much use for it since he has every rod in the world already so he just gave it to me, lol. I love it, it light and very sensitive, I paired it up with a curado 50e and was throwing dropshot and weightless senkos on it with ease.
