Id this fish Please

Went fishing to Redondo Beach Pier on this beautiful Memorial weekend afternoon.
After couple of fishing caught this fish for the first time and I dont know the name of this fish.
Does anyone in this site know the name ?

thank you for the name.
It was a fighter. weighted @ 3lbs.
I only caughted this one at the right side of the short pier towards the sea side lagoon.
