Very nice DS!!! That's a nice sized Brownie for a local stream. Do you have a color enhancer on your pics? The colors seem kind of exaggerated a little. Looks great though. Just wondering, why do you and your girl always wear those gloves while fishing. Stupid question I know but I was just wondering. I personally would hate the feeling of walking around with soggy hands after they got wet. Especially after holding a fish and having the slime on it too. BTW, Aren't those gloves bad for CPR'ing too since I assume they are removing their slime coat?

The gloves are always wet when handling fish, and as you said, it does pose a nuisance when walking around in frigid temperatures right afterwards. We normally fish barbless so we can shake off non-picture worthy fish off, but we try to always wet our hands before handling any fish. The gloves I wear dry up rather quickly, unless there is rain about.

We had a good friend of ours have to deal with the onset of melanoma, so we are always covered up when fishing and hiking. Anything we can do to avoid skin cancer (and detection from unfriendly sports) is a plus. :-)

The gloves I wear are made by Simms:

Well to be quite frank, DVL doesn't have wild trout. Aside from that I'd like to type "nice job".

The trout in DVL go wild when my little homie hooks them and the striper come in to feed like vampires.
Then, like a vampire slayer, I throw out my punker, drag in a raging back stabbing striper and flip around with him on shore until we're both bloody and tired out and want to go home for dinner.
