Legg Lake (5/24)

Hello,

Since I work in El Monte, I decided to hit up Legg Lake on the way home. I fished the north and middle lake using my 2wt and various beadheads (nymphs, midges, etc) The larger gills / reds weren't as active today, but I did manage to get several in the smaller class.

How's it going TM27? That's a pretty nice gill. I was at the Legg for a few hours again on Tuesday and noticed a ton of gills and bass fry swimming in the shallows, not to mention some larger gills on beds in certain areas. Even saw a few decent sized bass (2-3 lbs.) chasing which was pretty cool to watch. Was there anyone catching any cats out there? It seemed to be fished out the other day but maybe I wasn't in the right spots. Seems like you had a pretty good day, thanks for the report.

Hey Alex,
I didn't see anyone catching the cats. Saturday, on the other hand, was different. I saw numerous stringers.

Nice size gill' you have there. I was able to nail several at north lake on small cranks, bait, and a variety of other lures.
