well,
my buddy and i headed up to the loop friday and arrived at about 11:00 after stopping only for breakfest in lone pine. we camped in the silver lake campground along rush creek. i said nuts to setting up camp and instantly hit up the creek from the campground down a ways... i was able to pull out a brown on a fly lined night crawler and that was it for about an hour.
after that i decided i'd better set up camp. around 1:30 i take my buddy, who has never been up to the sierras before, to my secret spot to get him on some good fish. my next fish was another brown, so i was excited that my first 2 sierra fish were browns..here's a horrible pic:

and after this i hooked to a good size dinner entree fly lining salmon eggs.

he only managed one, but i had 7 or 8 on the day all released except my dinner entree.
day 2 i went down rush again between silver campground and grant lake...water was pretty low with some week flows which made fishing tough for me, i did get some good pics though:

then i went back to camp around 9:00 to wake my buddy up. we headed out to give convict creek out of bentons crossing a shot, but flows were low and the fish had no love, so we went back to the secret spot and it was wide open on salmon eggs & night crawlers...
here are some pics of satuday.

i slipped in the mud just before this pic

fishing was so tight under branges and in the mud that i only took the time to take pics of the browns...between my buddy and i we caught and released 30-40 fish with some good times.
we headed home early sunday :(
