I completed and subitted my thesis for my masters (finally)--havent fished in weeks-- too long by my standards. Time to fish...Hit the Goon.
I arrived later than I wanted to (11ish). A group in the p-lot were having a concert, playing a variety of music that I'm sure everyone on the lake could hear.
Fished tough on the DS. Had some short strikes, but no hook set. By the 1230 mark I started my final 15 minute countdown. Finally get a hit, made a desperate hook set, fight was on.
Felt good weight, but the fight wasnt that of a greenback. Had to settle on a nice black crappie (14.3 Incher). First on a DS. Beat the skunk but the void is still there. Better luck next time.
