Nobody wants to say it only hint around it BUT CATFISH ARE ALREADY BEING STOCKED IN YOUR LOCAL LAKES. Forget what that stupid DFG website says go fishing now! I personaly in the last two weeks have caught almost 200 catfish all C&R in several different lakes.

The DFG isn't responsible for catfish plants, that's done by the Imperial Catfish farm, mostly. That's why it takes a while.

Good to hear that, I have been trying to hunt those cats at santa fe dam for the last three trips but only got one.

nice i have been checking the info on the DFG website and could not find anything. I will be at my local city park lake tommorow morning :) .. Thank you for the heads up

Mind sharing the bait? I was using mackerel pike recently but didn't get a lot of bites.

It most certainly is! I was out there with him Thursday and caught 21 in 4.5 hours. And I'm not very good. Check out my post in this section for a report.

he uses mealworms under a bobber, and boy did it work for La Mirada.
