my gf and i hit up the sierras this past weekend for our first time, on sat morning we fished north lake, then sabrina, and also south lake, between her and i hooked up to 17 small winies some nice colors. all fishies were released unharmed all we used was crappie jigs all fish were lip hooked. i was kind of bumed out to see people taking those small fish home. we called it a day and stayed in Bishop, people there are very friendly. on sun morning her and i had breakfast and got ready to do it over again, stoped at sporting goods store [REAGAN'S] he has everything you need and is very friendly. Reagan gave us some info on Rock creek so that was our next stop, first we went for a hike up there started jigging around noon i can say we hooked up all around the lake on the same two jigs it was so much fun. between her and i landed like 30 fish no joke all were released unharmed i can say this was one of our best fishing trip in a long time here are some pics, http://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/hh637/jesser88/rock20c.jpg,http://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/hh637/jesser88/t20mag.jpg,http://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/hh637/jesser88/creek.jpg,http://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/hh637/jesser88/imagejpeg_23.jpg,http://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/hh637/jesser88/3D5D.jpg,http://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/hh637/jesser88/east.jpg,http://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/hh637/jesser88/south.jpg,http://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/hh637/jesser88/perl20Rc.jpghttp://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/hh637/jesser88/north20creek.jpg

Nice pics and fish. If you didn't already, go to Jack's--the place has a great breakfast and nice skin mounts.

For sure man use golden Or silver color jig heads the glare just gets to them, for plastics orange, yellow if they have glitter even better. I use 2lb test (maxima) with a 2 foot florocarbon leader (seagar)http://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/hh637/jesser88/IMG-20120517-00043.jpg,these are also good i picked them up at reagan's buy a pack and the second one free,http://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/hh637/jesser88/IMG-20120517-00049.jpg, all these work really well also i got them at BPS for like 25 bucks,http://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/hh637/jesser88/IMG-20120517-00045.jpg,cabelas has this kit for around the same price cant go wrong,http://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/hh637/jesser88/IMG-20120517-00046.jpg

Good ole trusty Trout Magnets! They have some pretty tight new colors too being sold on their website! My go to color for the E.S. is the dark green with Red flakes on the gold jig head! Thanks for the report!
