I need a new rod or two for bass and catfish..should I get a spinning reel or baitcaster

How much are you willing to spend? For bass it varies depending on what type of action are you looking for? What types of lures or set up are you planning to fish? In my opinion for catfish, anything will do, just make sure you get a solid combo and not an ultra-light. For your reels depending on how comfortable you are, I would recommend a spinning for catfish and a baitcaster for bass.
