Rod Power & Taper for Drop Shot?

I'm getting more and more interested in freshwater fishing and need advise on drop shot rod selection.

What power & taper should I be looking for?

Power depending on what line test you plan on using. I use 5 to 6# test, so I go with a Medium-Light rod.

I also prefer a light tip, but a powerful backbone when using a dropshot rod. I'd go with an Extra Fast taper.

I use a similar setup. A 7 foot medium/light fast action graphite rod would be perfect with 6 pound fluoro.

I ordered a 7' Fast Action, ML 4-10lb. I plan on using 6lb line and hope that this set-up can double as my worm rod.

It will work fine for most worming. Except for really heavy carolina and texas rigs.
