Seeing green at silverwood 5-7-11

Decided to go take the tube out and try for some stripers today and that didnt work out .... at all so i went for lmb. i have never tubed silverwood and i have never targeted bass before so this was a new experience for me!!!! i did pretty well i think caught about 9-10 fish most about a pound 2 fish were around 2 pounds i think i dont know. all fish were caught drop shotting a pink robo worm. alll at the west edge of the lake. in the back cove. it was a amazing trip for me seeing swarms of carp circling me as if they were planning an attack haha. i saw many catfish cruising on the bottom in that same area that were at least 10-12 pounds they were huge!!!!! i also saw some monster carp kinda scared me actually. lol. anyone fish for carp at silverwood??? id like to try and nail one of those bad boys!!!! no big fish to be seen i saw so many bass all over the lake the water is green and clear. a lot of people were catching trout and saying well at least i caught bait for the stripers.......:/ i also talked to another tuber that was hoping to catch a big bass so he had something to eat tonight.... he was also complaining about the bass numbers this year.... i guess he doesnt put 2and 2 together. i saw a few fish on beds but not many at all. it was cool to sight fish and watch a bass eat the worm. all bass cpr. any questions about my trip just ask here are some pics i took today. also many stalker trout were chillen by the boat dock in cleghorn and i think the stripers are going to eat them tonight lol.

Heard that socal carp clud will hold an event there in May or June for carps, you should check it out if you are interested in that.

Cool. That is my Go To Float Tube lake. I live near by.
Cleghorn is the area I fish also!!
you did very well, better then I have in the past few years... :-(

Great pics.. Fish that area all the time . Gots a float tube myself.. Hope to see you out there next time . I usually go on weekends cause of work. Was there a couple of weekends ago and didn't do too bad.. Thanks for the report..Need a tubing buddy. Hit me up sometime

Been wanting to tube the dam in the evening/nite. But gotta pick a good no wind evening. What do you guys think?

I'm usually a weekend guy, but for sure bro.. Tournament on Saturday and mothers day on Sunday... Not this weekend for sure...

I'd try to launch early am-at least that's what I've done in the past-the wind usually isn't as bad during that time and the stripers can be had-try an all white or even an all black streamer if it's still dark.
