So stoked!!!!
I caught my first halibut from the float tube in the LBC on 05/05/2012. It weighed 9lbs and taped out to 30"
Caught on Curado 200g with 30# braid, 10# xxx leader, 3/8oz ball lead head with 3" big hammer green sardine.

every one ive gotten from a tube/yak/boat fight like they should.head shakes n line pealin runs! bet she was fun!
from the surf they just float on in like chumps! not sure why?
but i want one to prove me wrong.

I don't even think it new it was hooked until it broke surface. That was when the fun started

Congrats. Nice fish. Wish I had the marbles to go out on tube out there. I'll stick to the sand.

Nice 1 from the tube! Have never fished from the tube but can picture what it would be like to have a flattie doing it's once landed flat dance in your lap! It could be painfull!
