Inside of kings harbor is a spot just NW of the pier that I always see guys launching from. Use maps.google.com's satalite option to zoom in on Kings Harbor and you will see for yourself.

self launch pier / parking $4 allday. 24hr launch pier with walk down access to water. behind rocks club/joes crab shack. u can drive into drop off zone, unload and then park u car. bathroom if open is on sportfishing pier. gud luck. other launch sites: 2nd street davies lbc, behind queen mary, or cabrillo beach
