Jack Hooks is a new hook that needs know knot to tie, it is very simple to tie, just a few loops and you pull up and it holds stronger than a regular knot. They are a bit expensive but i believe they price will lower when the owner finds a warehouse to more mass produce the hooks. They are working on swivels as well. And you might think well i can tie a knot pretty quickly, and i timed my self and i can tie one of these in just about 3 seconds as well, also you can tie them just as well at night. They are also made in the U.S so you are supporting the economy. They are all around a great product.

I think the infamous "You Don't Know Jack" thread went down like the Titanic when the site took a dump.

But remember...

He won third place.

Why would I want to reinvent the wheel and switch from something that's affordable and already proven to work to something that only offers a gimmick as its selling point and is more expensive? I really don't understand why I'd be motivated to buy this product at all... tying a knot doesn't exactly bother me, and has to be done when fishing lures anyways. This would potentially help only when fishing soft plastics. Too much of a specialty niche, and no real performance gain other than convenience isn't really a compelling reason to purchase Jack Hooks especially with the increased price over conventional hooks.

they are also trying to make an adapter i believe, so you can clip it to almost any lure and then you can tie it. Also tying a knot might not bother you if you are fishing in an area without a lot of snags and the bight is easy but if you are fishing at places where you need to re-tie a bunch i would much rather use these, saves a bunch of headaches.

It literally takes 10 seconds to tie a clinch knot. 5 for a palomar or three-wrap uni. IMO, it's "knot" worth it.
