Good afternoon FNN:
The Irvine Lake Staff and Board of Directors would like to thank all of you for your support this season.
On Saturday June 2nd we will have a No Limit Trout Fishing Festival ending the season with a huge Bang!
Catch as many as you can and have a great time.

Sweet! Thank you Irvine lake staff and Board of Directors for consistently taking care of us anglers! This has always been my favorite lake.

Cool! But does this mean the lake staff is not expecting any holdovers to survive the summer?

I do not believe that is what they are saying at all. Unlike many of the other lakes Irvine lake has the depth for the holdovers to get to the colder water. If they were concerned with the trout all going belly up they would probably not be giving you one day of this but many days to catch all you can before there demise. I know I personally have caught trout late in the summer fishing jigs deep.

I heard someone caught an 18ft blue/white holdover from 1961. Rumor is Josh C&R'd it sometime back.

i have caught trout every month at irvine. my latest trout was october 1st trolling 3 colors of leadcore in boat dock cove. i have personally told alot of people that the trout have lived the last 3 or so years.
