Finally got my Legal

Left the at 5am , got to gate around 6:20am to find a line of cars. The park ranger arrived 10 minuets later. Parked the car, geared up and headed down to the sand with Troutslayer 365 . We had to fish fast and hard as I had to be back in Chino by 11am. Troutslayer and I started to throw the L.C.s and made our way south down the beach , I looked to my right to see my buddy hooked up , a short fight later he brings in a nice 18" halibut . I started to work my way south right into dirty water so I decided to go back to cleaner water, a few casts in and I hook up on a small BSP (skunk buster) it always amazes me catching a small fish on a 110 L.C. . A few casts later I made a long cast , and about five cranks in I got a good hit , after I realised I'm hooked up I land a nice legal halibut , about a 4min fight.
Troutslayer 365 came over and gave me a hand and took a picture. A few minutes later my friend is hooked up and lands a nice YFC , Shortly after that he's hooks up again and lands a sand bass. We fished for about a half hour more , the tide went out and we called it a day , not a bad start to a nice sunday.
