Did a bit of fishing on either side of the West ramp. Missed the morning bite.

Off the secondary point of the cove to the left of the ramp walking down it:

Off the rocks other side of the ramp down by the picnic area:

Was happy these guys jumped and ran. The last 6 pounder I caught at Castaic fought like a 2 lber and it pissed me off.

Lots of other folks out, looked like the all did well and had fun. It was a beautiful day.

I was rocking creature baits on tiny Carolina rigs, pitched to the first sight fishing, then ground out the rest fishing it slow for the second, and with a jerk pause to make some noise in murky water for the last 2.

Have fun.

That was on the upper west launch ramp, there was the wounded warrior project event going on, son and I got lucky enough and got to go with one of the boaters, I'm not part of the wounded warriors but I am a disabled Veteran, we hit some coves I think I might have seen "CO" out there. We got to this one spot and I was drop shooting a robo worm, when all of a sudden wham, pretty good fight and then it went down under the boat, tried muscling it out but the hook ripped out of its mouth. The three of us all stuck some bass, but the real fun part was when the boat owner Dave, would give it the gas and my son would start laughing his butt off.

Green, different flakes didn't seem to matter. Look for fish or flashes of silver reflection, or small areas with disturbed water. Fish there and the areas around. If you get one from sight, grind out another one or two blind casting in the area. Let em go quick so they can get back to making more fish.

Best I can suggest, but most of these folk know better than me, I'm sure.
