pc2mac, how's it? Looking forward to another great season. Early season fishing should be great with all the open water. I just got off the phone w/ Rick's in Mammoth, the guy said Lake Mary has 3-4 feet of ice and snow on it still. Three days ago Twin was rotten, but still frozen. There was a huge wind storm last November, and the Forest Service is trying to clear the road. Not so sure about the lakes basin being open. I always just check it out for myself when I get there. I've have never seen Lake Mary ice free before Memorial Day. Same with Rock Creek Lake. I'd stay off the ice this year for sure. Heading up May 4th for Cinco De fisho. Have a great season all! good fishin!

Really, the two articles said all the lakes in the basin are ice free. Oh well, guess everyone will find out soon enough. I have been there in mid-may in 2007 and the basin was totally ice free. Temps in the mid-60s in town, was wearing shorts and a t-shirt already....

I read about the trees getting knocked down, hope they clear it out before the latter half in June when we might be up.

Tight lines everyone!
