Just a short blurb to say that Marie and I hit Isabella this afternoon--I met her there as she motored homeward from a gig in Bako at about 4 P.M. We trolled my trout spots until the sun was off the surrounding mountains, and only got 2 desultory taps on Thomas Bouyants/rainbow trout pattern. Surface temp was 52*-54*, and there were TONS of fish on the screen--almost all of which were at or under 40' of water. Anyplace shallower than 40' was devoid of marks. Thermocline looked to be at about 18-22 feet. A number of fish extended middle fin rays as we passed above them. That's always a bad sign. Rotten &^%$ fish.
