Haven't been in way too long but since I went and bought a new state pass yesterday to beat the price increase I thought I might as well try it out since I had a couple hours. Hit HB State about 9:30 am. Still overcast and the surf looked a little bigger then I like to fish, maybe 4 to 6 it looked to me. Tried the KM blue and white for a while then switched to crack to try and beat the skunk. Had a couple of bites for sure on the crack but I suspect they were probably little wallies as both apparently just grabbed the tip of the GCSW tail and almost pulled it off the hook. On the way back to the truck hit the Talbert Marsh inlet with a LC but nothin'. So for my first time out in a long time I got the skunk. Headed home at about 11:30 am. Oh well, nice to finally get out and get my feet wet again anyway.
