Is this some sort of saltwater fish that enters brackfish water, like the L.A. river near the ocean, at times? They look fairly large and fun to catch, lol, for the LA river. What type of fish is it?

I looked it up and it does look like a mullet.

That's Mitch. He fishes there for Mullet or at Willow St for Carp.
That spot is at Anahiem St. fresh/salt mix, at incoming high tide that cement berm gets covered.
