Today the Tradition went out with a light load of only 5 anglers and caught limits of rockfish, limits of sculpin, and 3 nice lingcod up to 15 pounds! The bigger lingcod this season, along with the whopper today, have been caught on sand dabs. So when you catch dabs, you might benefit from saving them and using them later if you anchor up on a rockpile. Lingcod will bite them even if they are dead or already bitten by another lingcod.
The Tradition is online daily for ¾ day trips leaving at 6am. We will be fishing for rockfish and lingcod until some surface action picks up. The barracuda showed up last year on Mother’s Day Weekend, so hopefully it won’t be long.
