No limit on the trout because the water is warming up they do it every year!

The bite has been dead for weeks now. Even after the recent rains and colder days the bite was slow. It's nice that they offer a no limit day, but I doubt anyone on the packed shoreline will get 1 limit.

I was there a couple days ago and the algae was pretty bad; the water was just treated for it. Couldn't see the surface through the green more often than not. Bite was as slow as heck, saw 3 catches while I was there and two were average sized crappie. I had one bite in seven hours of fishing myself and landed a crappie. That does bode well for the crappie bite once the water clears up, at least. But yeah, I would be surprised to see anyone get one limit of trout right now let alone two or three.
