I just bought a Coastal Custom Classic ccc/b701ml rod during the Fred Hall show in Del Mar and looking into pairing it up with a reel. Gonna use this rod for inshore fishing for rock, bass, and halibut.What kind of reel do you guys recommend.

I know I'm responding to a post from over a year ago...
I got this same rod a few years ago from the Long Beach Fred Hall show. I haven't used it at all until this past weekend during an overnighter to San Clemente Island. I paired it up with a Daiwa Sealine SL20SH loaded with 50lb braid and topped 30lb fluoro leader. I really enjoyed using this combo - reel casts forever even with braid and the rod has plenty of backbone for me to horse a 5lb sheephead from the bottom of the kelp beds. I also caught large salmon groupers, sheephead, calicos and other rockfish with this setup.
