Any FNNers going?
Unfortunately I won't be able to cuz of shoulder surgery Tuesday.
ALPERS TROUT GUYS AND LADIES ! ! !
My experiences at this derby over the years I've been to it, PB with some kind of dip or sauce works great. Either chartreuse with glitter or salmon peach flavor/colors are my fav there. Kastmasters, Super Dupers, Phoebes, and plastics also work. Just remember that Alpers hit pretty hard and put up a good fight, so 4# leaders is a good idea.I've also had good luck with a fly and bubble rig, using beadhead prince nymphs or wooly buggers in black or purple. Rapalas also work.
It'll be good to take a portable bbq and grill your own food too. Plenty of picnic area with tables.
Hope everyone does good, should be fun.....will be waiting for the report!
