Hey guys I saw a thread about Santa Ana River south fork and was wondering if that was a stream like Azusa Canyon or what? If it is, how do you get there? Ever since the stream got soooooo low at Azusa, I was hoping to find some other creek fishing somewhere around. Any advice.

Take Highway 38 past Angelus Oaks, to Glass Road and turn left (only way you can turn). Follow down to the river. It is actually more like a creek. There are several miles of dirt road (1N45) that parallel the river, and 4 bridge crossings. This month will get 2 DFG trout stocks, with one this week. There are small browns in the river as well, mostly below Seven Oaks. If you have a high clearance vehicle try Bear Creek via Road 1N09 for wild rainbows and browns. Bear Creek is special regs; 2 trout, no minimum size, and only artificial lures with barbless hooks can be used.

Are you aware that this website has a complete SOCAL fishing index with maps and the best kind of baits? All you have to do is use the search function. Here's the one you requested. http://www.fishingnetwork.net/socal/sananrvr.htm (http://www.fishingnetwork.net/socal/sananrvr.htm)

Anything below 7 Oaks is not stocked and is wild fish only. Bear Creek is also not stocked. Right now the Nettles are in full bloom as well as the Poison Oak in coming nicely as well. With this next weeks heat wave, you can also expect to see the usual suspects with tails that buzz.

Werent you the one always trying to "protect" the streams and not blow them out on the web? Any more wild trout areas ud like to give up? Yes im aware there links to certain ones here but name dropping is the last thing i thought you would want.
