If I'm trying to explain something and want to include a photo in a PM (Private message), how do I do that? Thanks in advance. DAN

dan,

pm's are no different than a regular post.

simply insert the URL for the image (e.g. http://www.domain.com/imagename.jpg) inside the IMG tags.

Example:

[*img]http://www.domain.com/imagename.jpg[*/img]

Now, I've included the asterisks or else the code won't show up, but when you put the code in your PM, remove the asterisks "*"

Do you have to take them off your desktop and put them in a domain and can they be sent directly from your desktop? And if they have to be sent from a domain...which domain do you use? thanks in advance for the reply.

Sandtrout,

Here's a good tutorial:

Essentially, you need to upload the pictures from your desktop to a 'webhost.' Once you upload them, the webhost will give you a link where the picture is located and you need to copy and paste that into the image tag.
