The Pudd is ON !!!! The bite is on now and fish were taking all of our patterns. Even to manage to get some on a dry pattern in the shaded areas. Bluegill, Redear, and Crappie were taken on same fly pattern.

I fished a dark Hare’s Ear all day and eventually lost in a branch.

Hey VF - Thanks for the info. I've been waiting to hear the panfish action is hot for the near shore fly flingers. Unfortunately, I've been too busy lately to get out to Pudd. Now rain forecasted for tomorrow and Friday. Hopefully, the bite will still be hot next week. Are you still fishing your usual roll cast and strip retrieve? Are you using a bobber/strike indicator above the fly?

P.S. I'll take 2 of each pattern. Thanks

Isn't it amazing how some thread...some peacock herl and a glass bead get those pan fish every time. I'm still amazed at just how little you can put on a fly and still catch fish.

I'm wondering if anyone has ever made flies from parrot feather before? I have a few birds and their feather fall in the cage all the time and I just throw them away. Maybe I'm wasting some good fly tieing material. Ha, ha,....or I'll trade their feathers for some free flies....
