Saw the weather report for the rest of the week, so I headed out to the East End.
Caught a nice LMB and two small female red ears 15 minutes in the water. The red ear still have not moved in and are off shore.
Got down to the fishing grounds and started my slowwww troll. Dead sticked a Senko Swimbait and DS Robo on my baitcaster.
The dead stick rod is a 30 year old Shakespear combo that the drag is shot so I cranked it down and use it. Everything down there was caught on that POS Shakespear dead stick on this just bounching it off the bottom:

The bass boat guys were telling me they saw numerous empty beds and only one of the fish I caught had signs that she was working a bed.
I have no idea what is going on out there with the spawn, all I know is a 30 year old POS Shakespear combo has caught me 8-9 LMB the past couple of days :EyePop:
Water temp was 63^ up to 66^, and wind out of the West.
Good luck out there boys

I was at 11 and 12 today 9 -11am, I think I saw your tube way back in the east end because it was to small to be a boat. I got one missed bite today on a redworm. A guy a few hundred feet away caught 7 redear but he was probably there way longer then me. I know this weather is weird right? It just starts to get warm and another storm/rain hits us.

Nice report...POS Shakespear or not, it catches fish. Up in Sacramento where I go Salmon in the American, I seen this old asian guy with a bamboo pole and a coffee can. He would whip pole, cast out the beads and then reel the line in on the can.....and he outfished quite a few people that day. If it catches fish.....then it's good to go...lol

Good job out there! Empty beds? Has that area been hit that hard? I have the whole week off, so I'm thinking of hitting the shore tomorrow.

Saw one boat spot fishing, never wet a line in 30 minutes. I caught one while he was trying to hit a bed. Don't know if the females have already spawned, only one of my fish had a bloody tail and it looked like she still had some eggs. Got her back into the water quickly. All my fish in 6-8' of water except the one on the super duper. Waiting at Sports Chalet to open, lost my super duper.

With this weather I might wait until Monday and try my luck again. I just bought some Yamamoto 5" D/T H-Grub (watermelon/blk&red) that I want to try out there. I keep waiting for the RE's and BG's to turn on and get my super duper, snap bean, and jigs torn up.
