Not as good as the Wed prior....still had about 8 fish all looked about like these. Really a shame they are dropping the water so fast during the spawn. lots of empty beds compared to last week.

One note: I compared many baits fished on the beds. Only one would make the male actually rise up off the bed to inhale....the 5" skinny Senko. They love those things.

I hooked a 5lbr.....3 TIMES she spit the hook. Told her " its your lucky day " Im going home to sharpen my hooks....stupid Mustad straight shank!

Nice job out there. That reminds me of a couple weeks back at Piru -- I hooked a solid 7 or 8 lb'er 3 times running a spinnerbait right in front of her face but she would never FULLY commit. I left after an hour of trying to get her thinking the same thing "It's your lucky day, miss!"
