Gonna be there tomorrow and i was wondering where should i fish? i have only fished here in the summer and have luck with a slip bobber at the damn. Can i still use slip bobbers this time of year , and how far down? And would Carolina rigs be out of the question?

I would try reading some bbl reports.

The idea behind the slip bobbers is that BBL has a very defined thermocline during the warmer months and you want to be around that depth in order to be in the trout feeding zone. This should not be an issue this time of the year since water is colder and should have good oxygen levels. But there is no reason why you can't use the slip bobber you just have to figure out where the trout are holding also I don't think the weedlines are too bad right now so a Carolina rig should work fine, probably a longer leader but somebody that has fished it recently might chime in and let you know what depth the trout are hanging and at what time of the day.

Some good advice on rigging from Seal. I think Cameron was hinting that there some very recent reports on Big Bear....his being one of them...that will help you make a decision. He shares some good information. Here's the link:
