Please help!!! Bishop trip advice

im going up to bishop in a week. i have some panther martin lures that are pretty small number 2's and 4's. they seem that they may be to light to cast far. how should i put weight on or what techniques should i use to cast further. any info will help!!! thanks in advance *Jbfish*

The lakes above Bishop are not open until the end of the month. If you are planning on fishing the Owens, those small lures should work fine, you don't have to cast that far in the O. Probably ok for PVR too.
