Was considering on buying a float tube. Like the title states, I was wondering what's the average price and where I could maybe could buy one for a cheaper price.

I think I saw some float tubes at Sport Chalet ranging from $79 to $199. Check it out. You prob could use the 25% off coupon I posted for Sports Authority. My local Sport Chalet has always accepted the Sports Authority coupon.
I saw a few Caddis float tubes there last time.
there were some members selling their tubes on here, but I think that info got deleted when the server crashed

Buy Used, and save yourself a grip of cash. I would recomend the outcast lineup of tubes. The Fishcat 4 is an awesome entry level tube that keeps you mostly out of the water. Search the selling section on this board, or post up a want to buy thread with what you are looking for.
When I first started, I got a used fishcat 4 and some Bone Dry waders in good condition for $140 bucks. Good luck!
