Went out about 4 times without much success, but decided it was time to do a short report.

Conditions were the best I had seen in a long time. Went out with a friend of mine, so he could catch his PB perch. We saw a guy land a short hali upon arrival, but we couldn't seem to find the fish. At around 0900 he had to leave, and I stayed to try and beat the skunk. While fishing I saw a small whitish whale covered in barnacles less than 60yrds out coming up every 3-4min in the same spot. Finally got a bite, in a trench 5ft away. He was about 14.5"

I tried to take pics of the whale, but he only came up for a couple seconds, blasting water into the air

Also snagged this little thing, no idea what it is. Baby jellyfish?

I have been looking at this very fishy spot for months, and finally decided to check it out during lowtide, to get a feel for the structure. It looked very promising, to try it during high tide with 1-2ft waves. The waves weren't too big, but they were extremely frequent. http://i1073.photobucket.com/albums/w397/tammyn77/IMG_0245.jpg
I explored for a couple hours, and finally hooked up with this little perch on my way back to the car.

Bill WWO told me the night before he would be coming into town with his lovely wife, and asked if I would like to fish. Since the conditions said BIG WAVES all around we decided to hit LB to get some shelter from the breakwall. We arrived, and withing 5 min I hear "Yahoo" as Bill pulls in a flat fish....of the wrong kind :( haha. With the skunk off his back, but still on mine we keep fishing. 5min later he does it again, and I turn and see another stingray flapping its wings on top of the water, it looked like it was trying to fly away haha.
It was a PB for him, and I have never seen one like it before.

We continued fishing for a couple hours, with no more luck. We then went on a Korean BBQ double date with our ladies, and ate enough assorted meats to satisfy a lion. It was a great day, and it was a pleasure meeting the both of you.

It had been almost too long since my last trip, and I was getting an itch that only the surf could satisfy. My last trip out with bill my simms wading shoes broke, so I took them in yesterday and luckily they were under warranty and had them replaced at Bob Marriotts. I got out, and found big swells with an 8-9sec intervals. Fishing wasn't too bad, except I had to stand about 15ft away from the water, to avoid the surge of the waves. I Fished the trenches and pretty quickly hooked this nice 16" lady http://i1073.photobucket.com/albums/w397/tammyn77/IMG_0267.jpg
An hour later I got another bite, thought it was something it wasn't :( and pulled up this 10"er.
http://i1073.photobucket.com/albums/w397/tammyn77/IMG_0268.jpg I didn't stay too long after that, and decided to head home.
Looking forward to some better conditions later this week.
Best,
Lucas
