hesperia lake 4/3/12

Off for spring break so dicided to hit up hesperia lake.Prepared the day befor since i had to take my little sister , bought chips , sodas and a sub sandwhich for lunch.
Woke up at 5:00 am got everyone ready and left at about 5:30 . Got to the lake at 5:50 on the water by 6:10 .

Thought it was ganna be non stop action due to the stock that day(they stock befor the park opens)
anyways theres fish rising all over but none are biteing. I get my fisrst fish on the drop shot at about 7:15. a decent 1 1/2 pounder. get 1 more by 8 :00 . At about 9 :00 im continuing throwing the drop shot when right when my bait gets about 2 foot from shore i get hammered . It pulls hard and i get it turned tword the shore and get a quick net job. its big . Ended up weighing 16 lbs. Continue through the day plucking off smaller torut 1 pound to 2 pound range. little sister lands two on power mouse and little bro ends up with four on power mouse . Green was the ticket for us today , green powermouse with brown power bait and green power worms on the drop shot.

Me : 12 trout 3 kept
Sister : 2
Matthew : 4

ended up being a great day , when we got home and cut them open almost all the trout were holdovers , they had rocks and moss from being in the lake , a couple had power worms in there gut also .
