BEWARE..long report. according to striperstud, i write "novels" :D
after a weekend in vegas, we decided to go to mammoth..again. over all, a very successful trip. tried different places, ate at different places, tried different baits..basically an experimental trip. anyways..here are the lakes that we fished..
George
fished it mainly during the late afternoon. caught a decent amount of fish, mostly caught on lures. however we did catch a few on rainbow powerbait and worms. all of them small around 12 inches but they do put up one heck of a fight. they remind me of crowley fish :)
Sherwin Creek
tons of fish, tons of people fishing it. caught a few there, mostly on powerworms (those still amaze me). caught a couple on a dry fly. again, those were pretty small, from 5 inches to about 10-12 inches.
Virginia
ive never fished the virginia lakes before so i was pretty stoked to check em out (thanks to my uncle for driving). fished the bigger one first for about 30 mins. between 3 of us fishing we caught 7. 5 of them must have came in the first 10 casts or so. nice size fish, one was around 16 inches or so. all caught on lures. then we moved on to the littler lake. my cousin and i tubed it while the rest of the family fished from shore. my cousin was throwing a lure and just killed em, except his catch to bite ratio was about about 1:10  i was fly fishing and also did pretty decent. mostly rainbows but pulled up a few brookes. nice looking fish. the rest of the fam were bait fishing and also throwing lures. they did decent but not as well as us!! haha. to top it off, my lil cousin caught about 2 lber which she brought in all by herself on a worm.
East Walker
since we were near bridgeport, we stopped off at east walker and fished for about an hour. my cousin, bro and i were playin around with the lil perch, must have caught at least a 100 in this lil pond area. almost every cast. my uncle pulled up a few rainbows, nothing worth taking a picture with tho. finally, i see my dad hook up with a fish. i see the rod bending but its not taking out line so im thinking its just another fish. but then i see it pop up and WHOA. nice brownie, we didnt have a scale but it must have been around 2-2.5 lbs or so. it was a nice surprise since we've been pulling up dink perch and 12 inch rainbows all day.

Hilton
SUPER slow. we fished it for maybe lil over a hour. 3 of us fly fishing, 1 throwing lures from shore. 1 bite, 1 fish. it was one of the slowest days ive ever fished there. but i did end up with a nice 17 inch brown on a fly.

Crowley
as always, i like to save the best for last. after fishing crowley, all the other lakes are just fighting for second imo. anyways, we fished it 2 days and both days it was just amazing. 4 of us each day, solely fly fishing. whether it was stripping, trolling or midging flies, it all seemed to work. tons of small ones, from 10-14 inches. fun to catch, they put up a good fight. a few decent ones which fight like theyre 5 lbers. and a few bigger ones which we picture-worthy.
my dads rainbow, ~4/4.5 lbs or so. fought like crazy, took a LONG time to bring in. it had about 4 good runs

my uncles rainbow, take your best guess at the weight

my last of fish of the trip. i was determined to catch a decent one before we left cuz everyone else had a picture-worthy fish that day except for me

my uncles second picture-worhty fish of the day. it slammed a midge right in front of a guide boat (which i thought was kinda funny)

last but not least, my bros fish. he caught 3 decent ones on our last day, lucky guy.[b]

[b]and this last one, took my bro all the way to his backing on his fly reel. i hope one day it happens to me. super nice looking fish
